Ironing is one of those simple actions that makes your cosplay look more professional. It is simple yet often overlooked. Protip; always iron to make sure your seams lay flat, don’t have wrinkles and perfect your curves hems.
This is literally one of the most important parts of sewing.

Also helpful tip: Wash your fabric before you sew! ^.^
THEN YOU FUCKING IRON IT

Don’t stop at ironing! Remember there is a difference between ironing and pressing although the two words are often used interchangeably! Pressing is what you do on seams and hems to keep them nice and pretty! It involves actually holding the iron in a location for an extended period of time to hold a more permanent crease, like in a dress shirt, pants, or a pleated skirt! Ironing is the act of moving the iron to remove wrinkles. Both are super important though in making a garment. And there is also steaming which is the preferred method to remove wrinkles on some fabrics. And ALWAYS test an inconspicuous spot or test swatch and read fabric care before just laying the iron down. Some delicate fabrics may melt, which require lower settings on the iron in addaition to a pressing cloth. I always say that when sewing, if your sewing machine is your spouse, then your iron is your best friend! :)

IRON & PRESS YOUR FUCKING COSPL-
Wait I wrote that.
Fuck.
